Cooking and cookbooks have been around since Adam and Eve (well, maybe not cookbooks, but cooking).  The opening of the west, explorers, cowboys, miners and early pioneers had some pretty special recipes and cooking styles.  Many of the cookbooks herein are specially directed at the cooking of the early west.  Campfire cooking, Dutch Oven, old recipes of the pioneers, Basque cooking and other unusual types of cooking.
