The west and the Civil War always seem to be somewhat exclusive of eachother however there was a very significant connection. The same military was in the west. There were western town uprisings that were pro-South in many of the western towns. The stories of many of the battles of the Civil War, both east and west along with stories of some of the major participants are availble.
